Yesterday I helped at my church with another W.A.T.C.H. meal ( I just served I did not make it or prepare it).We are looking for a date to go out and shop for the canned goods. More people brought canned goods in. If you have any questions please comment. Also I will only be doing 3-4 more blog updates.
On Sunday at my church while I was in conformation the preschool class came in and gave me like 25 canned food items! On a different note for the meat I found out how much to get my estimating that there would be around 200 people and each person got 1/4 a pound of meal so I divided and got 50 pounds of beef total. We are probably going to buy all the food on Wednesday night .If anyone has any questions please comment below. :)
http://www.mortonumc.org/ < my church's website Hey everyone. Last night was the big meal! It went really well. For the money we had to pay the church back first and we still got around $100 dollars and some people brought in cans. Everything ran smoothly. There were around 50 more people than usual! This experience has really opened my eyes. This a picture of what the food looked like.
On Sunday Peyton gave the speech. She sounded like it went well. On Monday Peyton and I were going to make brownies for the dessert but it was way to snowy outside to get to the church so we're going to do it today. If anyone has any ideas for making it easier for us to prepare and cook. Please comment below. I will be posting the statistics for the food next Tuesday. I hope everyone is having a great week so far.
Hi everyone. This Sunday at my church I will be gone so one of my friends is going to make a speech (instead of me) before all of the sermons. Last night I dropped all the food off at the church. Also on Monday I will be preparing some of the food with my friends. If you have any questions comment below.
On Sunday my Mom and I went shopping for the food. We bought most of the food from Costco. It took about two and a half hours. I was a little surprised how much math was involved. The meal will be on the nineteenth. If you have any question comment below. This is just some of the food we bought.
(my mother took this photo) Hey everyone. Yesterday I figured out that I need to have 14 packages of mint chocolate chip cookies because that will be enough for half of the people. The package says that it makes 30 cookies, bit the cookies are very small so each person will get 2 small cookies. Also for the other choice I will need about 7 packages of brownies mix. Worker wise I am thinking I need around 8 other people helping me. My goal is to have the beef by the 15th. Have any question, comment below.
I have the final food selections. In regards to the tacos since not everyone like soft tacos there will be hard and soft tacos with beans and rice with toppings. For the dessert option it will be mint cookies and brownies.I hope it turns out well.
Hi everyone .For progress I think I'm doing extremely well. For the dessert option I am thinking about making sugar cookies or something similar to that. For the main food I was thinking of making tacos, chicken nuggets, or chicken with noodles. If you guys have any other idea please comment below.
I got the day, February 19th is when I will be making a meal for my church. I hope it turns out great. I am hoping to have some pictures up in around two weeks. If anyone has any ideas about what I should make please comment below. I couldn't be any happier than a bee making honey.
I've been contacting some people! I really think I can do this. I am hoping to have the meal plan in 3-4 weeks!
